A real unknown Library Gem...
BTW 102 - Impulse
(Various Artists, 1976)
A funky jazz diamond, most of you might not have heard from... Composers include Brian Miller and Frank Ricotti (well known for his work for Themes International). Not much is known about this obscure library label, but one thing is for sure, that this here is a great album, no fillers!
Check it out and let me know what you think...

ReplyDeleteMan, you're not kidding. The internet offers nearly nothing on this label. I really look forward to listening to this. Is there ANY possibility at all of a larger front cover scan, to match the delicious back cover scan?
ReplyDeleteYou're the best!! Get used to me saying that. It seems like everything you post is a 100% certified gem. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI borrowed this record from a friend some time ago, i have to ask him if he still got the record here in Germany or in the UK... if it's here I could make a large front scan!
ReplyDeleteGreat sounds! I really enjoyed this one. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteNo better cover scan possible in the next few weeks... the record is far away. perhaps someday!
ReplyDelete...awesome work! thanks for sharing these treasures with us!!! many many thanks!
ReplyDeleteKiller album! Lovely sensitive funky/jazzy stuff. Good musicians.
ReplyDeletedope LP actually. Frank Ricotti appeared on several Bruton albums: this label is probably from UK.
ReplyDeleteI just found a bunch of these BTW LPs, wondering if anyone has any info on them and how much they would be worth?
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thanks for all the great selections. I was starting to think that all the great library tunes had been unearthed but clearly I was wrong! Fascinating stuff
